Accurate time spent on Care Packs

Counts only the time your patient is genuinely looking at and interacting with the pack.

V1.1 Time spent on Pack

How it works:

  • Only active reading counts - if your patient reads for 2 minutes, roughly 2 minutes is recorded
  • Idle time is excluded - 1 minute of reading followed by 5 minutes of the phone sitting idle records as ~1 minute, not 6
  • Abrupt closes don't lose time - if your patient closes the browser tab mid-read, the time they spent is still recorded
  • Per-section breakdown - you see exactly where the time went: Care advice, Treatment plan, Images. A section they never opened shows no time.

What this means for you:

  • High time on the Treatment plan → your patient is weighing up the decision. Worth a call.
  • Good time on Care advice, none on the plan → they read your guidance but may not have realised there's a decision waiting.
  • Low time everywhere → they skimmed. Consider re-sending closer to their next appointment, or mentioning it at their visit.

Common questions:

Q: My patient says they read it for ages but the time looks short - why?

A: Only genuine interaction is counted. Time with the pack open but idle isn't included - which is exactly what makes the number meaningful.

Q: Does the time include every visit, or just the latest?

A: It accumulates across visits - the total reflects their overall engagement with the pack.

Treat 3+ minutes on a treatment plan as a potential buying signal. That's a patient thinking seriously - the follow-up call is warmest right then.
