Recording, Chatting & Creating with CoTreat Chairside

Learn how to use the main Chairside workspace to chat, transcribe consultations, attach clinical information, and access specialised Tools.

What’s the difference between Transcribe and the microphone?

Transcribe captures the full consultation between you and your patient. The microphone in the message composer is for voice input - it turns what you say into a message so you can speak to CoTreat Chairside instead of typing.

When should I use Transcribe?

Use Transcribe when you want CoTreat Chairside to capture a consultation as it happens. The conversation can then provide context for your clinical notes, treatment plans, patient letters, and other outputs.

What can I attach using the + button?

Use the + button to add supporting information to your conversation, including clinical images. Once attached, you can ask CoTreat Chairside questions about the information you've provided.

What’s the difference between asking CoTreat Chairside in chat and using Tools?

Chat lets you ask questions or give CoTreat Chairside instructions in your own words. Tools provides dedicated workflows for specific tasks, such as creating Clinical Notes, Treatment Plans, Patient Letters, or Care Presentations.

Why do some Tools say “Experimental”?

An Experimental label means the feature is still evolving. You can use it, but always review the generated output carefully before using it clinically or sharing it with a patient.

What does Show Reasoning do?

Show Reasoning gives you more context around how CoTreat Chairside worked through your request. You can enable it at the bottom of the Tools menu.
