If you’re unable to log in to CoTreat, don’t worry — this is usually quick to fix.
Most login issues are caused by an incorrect password, multiple failed attempts, or MFA (verification) issues. This guide will help you get back in as quickly as possible.
Who this is for
All CoTreat users who are unable to log in.
When you’d use this
Use this when:
- You can’t log in to CoTreat
- You see a message that your account is locked
- You haven’t set up your password yet
- Your login details aren’t working
Step 1: Check your login details
Before resetting anything:
- Make sure you’re using the correct login page:
👉 https://practice.cotreat.com.au/login - Double-check your email address
💡 If your clinic has multiple locations, your login may include the location, for example: name+location@email.com
Step 2: Reset your password
If your password isn’t working:
- Go to the login page
- Click “Forgotten your password?”
- Follow the prompts to create a new password
This usually takes less than a minute.
Step 3: If your account is locked
If you see a message that your account is locked:
👉 Contact your CoTreat admin or Practice Manager
(They usually have access to manage users)
They can unlock your account by:
- Going to Settings → Practice Members → Users
- Finding your name
- Clicking Unlock
Why accounts get locked
This usually happens when:
- Multiple incorrect password attempts are made
- MFA (verification code) fails multiple times
This is a security feature to protect your account.
After your account is unlocked
Once your admin has unlocked your account:
👉 It’s recommended to reset your password before logging in again
This helps prevent the issue happening again.

💡 Your Practice Manager is usually the fastest person to help
💡 Password resets can be done anytime from the login page
